Home of the Big Red basketball, volleyball, and wrestling teams, Bartels also hosts many physical education courses.
Lindseth Climbing Wall: This 160-foot-wide, 30-foot-tall wall is the largest natural-rock indoor climbing wall in North America. Available during the academic year, it's enjoyed by first-time climbers and experts alike (607.254.8255).

One of the largest indoor riding arenas in the East, the center offers polo and riding instruction and polo games on Fridays and Saturdays.

Six indoor courts and six outdoor courts, which are used for physical education courses, intercollegiate athletics, and recreational play. Additional outdoor courts are located on west campus (corner of West Avenue and Campus Road) and on north campus (Thurston Avenue, Jessup Road).

All facilities house a variety of equipment, including stationary bikes, dumbbells, treadmills, and weight machines. Helen Newman and Teagle Halls offer lap swimming and additional amenities. The wide variety of aerobics classes include jazzercise, global groove, sports conditioning, water aerobics, Tai Chi, and yoga.
