Managing Stress

To reach peak performance, you need to be well prepared - physically, emotionally, and mentally.  Moderate levels of stress help you stay focused and productive, but high levels of stress carried for long periods of time can impair your concentration, decision-making, effectiveness, and even make you physically ill. 

Tips for managing stress:

  • Eat a healthy diet
  • Stay physically active
  • Have a consistent sleep schedule
  • Plan short breaks that include getting outside for some fresh air
  • Learn and practice stress management stragies to relax your mind - e.g., expressing gratitude, making conscious choices, thinking posititively, meditating, and practicing yoga
  • Practice stress management strategies
