Managing Your Time
As a graduate student, most likely you will have a flexible schedule, but with many deadlines and responsibilities. Much of your time will be spent in the library or lab researching or spending time in academic activities. Many students find that it’s easy to put study over everything else, including rest and relaxation. Developing time management skills, such as to do lists and scheduling breaks, can help you accomplish more in less time.
Cornell has a number of excellent resources on time management and managing our tendency toward procrastination. Visit Time Management Resources From the Learning Strategies Center for tips on how to manage your time.
