Tuesday, May 24, 2016

Are you inspired by the projects that graduate students have been doing on teaching effectiveness? The Center for Teaching Excellence has extended the deadline to apply for the 2016-2017 Graduate Research and Teaching Fellows program.

Graduate Research and Teaching Fellows (GRTFs) develop and implement programs and resources that foster teaching excellence at Cornell University. In addition, they learn to use research strategies to understand, inform and enhance their teaching.

Open to all eligible graduate students at Cornell, this competitive one-year fellowship is an opportunity to:

* Enhance teaching, leadership and mentoring skills
* Explore the art of teaching through coursework and mentorship
* Build your CV and skills for the job market
* Extended application deadline: June 10, 2016

The year-long Teaching as Research projects that GRTFs conduct involve the deliberate, systematic, and reflective use of research methods by instructors to develop and implement teaching practices that advance the learning experiences and outcomes of both students and teachers (a foundational idea of the CIRTL Network).
