Friday, April 22, 2016
Grad students, postdocs, faculty and staff are invited to participate in a regional learning community on Inclusive Teaching this summer, open to current and future faculty at Cornell, Columbia, University at Buffalo and University at Rochester.
Starting May 1 and continuing through June 11, participants will receive online readings and opportunities for group discussion related to various themes such as growth mindset, implicit bias, privilege, and inclusive language.
On Wednesday, June 15, there will be a day-long workshop at the University of Rochester's River Campus, featuring a presentation by Dr. Heather Hackman. Travel grants are available to Cornell graduate students and postdocs.
Indrani Singh at the University of Rochester is organizing this opportunity, so interested participants are encouraged to get in touch with her at ASAP, since readings and discussion will start on May 1, 2016.
