Response

Dear Anonymous,

This is a great question as the semester gets underway! The Graduate School doesn’t have a policy that prevents students from enrolling in more than one class for the Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) grading option per semester. However, before finalizing your enrollment you should check with your graduate field and special committee to verify whether this is allowable under their guidelines. Many fields do require that students take certain courses for letter grades and members of your special committee may feel strongly that it’s not appropriate to take too many classes with the S/U grading option.

Have a great spring semester!
