Is there a mailing list, website, or calendar where I can find out about upcoming talks?

Date: February 2021

Question

Dear Deans,

I have had the chance to hear some really cool speakers while here at Cornell. I wish, though, that it was easier to find out about interesting speakers outside my discipline. My undergrad had a monthly forum with outside speakers (Bryan Stevenson, Ziauddin Yousafzai, Hillary Clinton, Doris Kearns Goodwin…) and weekly forums with various faculty. Is there a mailing list, website, or calendar I could consult to find out about interesting talks by faculty or visiting speakers happening at the university?

Sincerely,

Curious Graduate Student

Response

Dear Curious Graduate Student,

Thank you for asking this question, which gives us a perfect opportunity to highlight Cornell’s university-wide events calendar. You can find this calendar of university-sponsored events at events.cornell.edu. Events from across the university, including department and college events, are submitted to the calendar by unit communications directors. You can stay up-to-date on Cornell events by visiting the website regularly, or you can use the website to create a customized weekly email that will inform you of upcoming events.

Sincerely,

Kathryn
