Is there a way that teaching assistants teaching in-person sections can receive microphones?

Question
Hi,
I am currently teaching a large, in-person discussion section. Due to the size of the room I would like to use a microphone. The tech assistant told me that the professors usually bring their own (I think they were provided?). Is there a way that TAs teaching in-person sections can receive microphones?
Thanks,
Quiet Voice
Response
Dear Quiet Voice,
Your tech assistant is correct that microphones have been provided by CIT to professors, who then bring them to the classroom for their own use. Microphones have not been provided routinely to TAs. It might be possible for you to acquire a spare microphone from your college; it might also be possible for your department to procure one for you. I recommend that you start the request with your department.
Sincerely,
