DESCRIPTION:SUNY Oneonta is pleased to host a day-long in-person conference for graduate students and recent graduates in Oneonta\, New York on Friday\, September 25\, 2026. Registration is free.  \n\nMany professors enjoy rewarding careers at liberal arts colleges\, community colleges\, and regional comprehensive universities colleges that emphasize teaching. If you are looking at job ads that include teaching three or more courses a semester\, this conference is for you!  \nOn September 25\, SUNY Oneonta will bring together graduate students\, faculty\, and administrators in person to discuss what it’s like to work at teaching-intensive institutions and how to apply for these faculty positions. Whether you are considering entrepreneurship or simply looking for new ways to shape your career\, this session will help you think creatively about how your skills\, interests\, and ideas can translate beyond the traditional academic path. \nErica  founded Hikma to help clients bring complex ideas to new contexts. She has a decade of experience designing and teaching courses and workshops for students\, faculty\, and other professionals.
