PCCW Member and Cornell alumna Dr. Yonn Rasmussen will speak on how to transition your technical expertise into a management career. The workshop will discuss how a Ph.D. can prepare you for industry and how to switch from technical to management roles. Participants will learn practical tips for first-time managers and how they can build organizational leadership.

Dr. Rasmussen is vice president of a multi-national engineering and manufacturing organization within Xerox Corporation, responsible for technology, engineering, and global manufacturing of digital printer components and subsystems. She is a recipient of the Xerox President’s Award and holds 29 patents. She received a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester through the Executive Development Program.
