Session Description:

Are you struggling with writing the products you want to write, but feel that daily writing is not for you? Do you feel like the exhortation for daily writing doesn’t fit the needs of faculty in the sciences and engineering? Join us to explore experimenting with some new tools or ways of thinking about making daily writing work for you in your science or engineering context, including thinking about grant applications and reports, and overseeing your research team’s writing on your group’s funded research. We will build on NCFDD’s core curriculum and supplement with ideas from Tara Mohr’s “Playing Big” model, and Robert Boice’s “Advice for New Faculty Members” to help you come up with a plan to try out to help advance your scientific academic writing.
