NYAS Webinar: Adapting STEM Instruction to Online Learning

December 2, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

  • This event has passed.

Remote learning poses particular challenges for STEM educators, who traditionally rely on hands-on experimentation to teach new concepts. The coronavirus pandemic has forced STEM educators to confront these challenges as they work to engage their students online. In this event, participants will learn from and share their experiences of remote teaching with fellow STEM educators, considering both the successes they’ve had and the struggles they’ve encountered. In break-out groups, participants will work together to brainstorm solutions to teaching STEM online, and then share their ideas with the larger group.

During this webinar, you will:
  • Hear and share challenges faced in transitioning to online STEM instruction.
  • Hear, share, and brainstorm solutions to the challenges of teaching STEM online.
  • Gain insights from fellow STEM educators during small-group break-out sessions.
