Pie with the Deans sessions are open to any graduate or professional student to chat with the deans at the Graduate School. Stop by for pie (including a vegan option) and informal conversation. Come and go as needed. Please RSVP below so we can have enough pie!

Special Guest Discussion with Dr. Evan Cortens: “Moving Your Graduate Education Skills into Higher Education Administration”

Open to all graduate and professional students! 

For the April 26 session, join us for an informal conversation with Dr. Evan Cortens.  Dr. Cortens is a Cornell PhD alum (2014, Musicology, GPSA President 2013) and will talk about how his graduate education skills and experiences translate into success in academic administration.  Dr. Cortens is a Manager in the Provost’s Office at Mount Royal University, Canada (roughly 14,000 students).  He finds the work fulfilling and is involved in almost all aspects of academic administration at the university, from program development and quality assurance through financial planning and resource allocation.  

Stop by for pie (including a vegan option) and informal conversation.
