September 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

ImaginePhD postcard

This interactive workshop introduces Ph.D. students in the arts, humanities, and social sciences to tools and strategies for exploring careers beyond tenure-track faculty positions. Participants will use ImaginePhD to reflect on their values, interests, and skills; identify potential career options; and learn how to translate academic experiences into language used in nonacademic job searches. The session emphasizes curiosity, reflection, and practical next steps.

As a result of attending this event, students will:

  1. engage in activities to explore career paths and identify areas for further exploration
  2. reflect and align their interests, values, and skills to 1-2 career path(s).
  3. assess strengths and identify areas for growth relevant to their unique career goal(s).
