While it is important to create a new social network, knowing where to begin in a new community as a graduate student can be a challenge. During this one-hour session, we’ll review the value of social networks, provide resources, and have you create a plan to build your personal social network. Finally, you’ll hear from current graduate and professional students who will share their experiences and suggestions for how to get connected.

Presenters: Jen Forbes, Big Red Barn Graduate and Professional Student Center director; Janna Lamey, senior assistant dean for graduate student life; and panel of esteemed students
