Alumni Affairs and Development (Student Programs)

American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program (AIISP)
The American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program (AIISP) at Cornell is an academic and community center where all students can explore Indigenous histories, cultures, and contemporary life. It offers courses, events, and collaborative opportunities while fostering connections among students, faculty, and the broader community.
Anabel’s Grocery
Anabel’s Grocery is a student-run nonprofit grocery store that provides fresh, nutritious, and affordable food to Cornell students. Through our store and educational programs, we provide information about the connection between quality food, health, justice, and sustainability.<
Big Red Barn Graduate and Professional Student Center
The Big Red Barn Graduate and Professional Student Center provides a physical space for students to find community and programming, with over 500 annual events.
Black Graduate and Professional Student Association (BGPSA)
BGPSA is a network that addresses the needs and concerns of graduate and professional students of African descent at Cornell University. BGPSA involves itself in social, academic, and cultural activities deemed relevant as determined by the voting body. BGPSA works closely with underrepresented faculty and staff and is involved in issues that affect Ithaca’s Black community. BGPSA will do all things necessary and appropriate to accomplish these purposes.
Black Student Empowerment
Black Student Empowerment is a supportive space where students can build connection, find acceptance, and feel empowered. Through engaging programs, mentorship, and leadership opportunities, we serve as a key resource for both academic and social support. Our director and fellows are excited to welcome all students into a culturally affirming environment that centers mental well-being, inclusion, and community. Visit us on the Garden Level of 626 Thurston Ave. Everyone is welcome.
Center for Regional Economic Advancement (CREA)
The Center for Regional Economic Advancement (CREA), housed within Research and Innovation, fuels economic growth and diversity through entrepreneurship and innovation. CREA administers and supports a number of programs available to graduate and professional students.
The Centers for Student Equity, Empowerment, and Belonging
The Centers for Student Equity, Empowerment, and Belonging, housed within the Office of the Dean of Students in Student and Campus Life, foster inclusive community, identity development, and leadership through equity-focused programs and services. Each center supports historically marginalized student populations by promoting identity exploration, empowerment, and belonging through education, advocacy, and community building. Together, they uplift students from diverse backgrounds including APIDA, Black, Latinx/e, LGBTQ+, first-generation and low-income, undocumented/DACA, woman-identified and gender-diverse communities, and students seeking spiritual meaning.
Center for Teaching Innovation (CTI)
The Center for Teaching Innovation (CTI) supports Cornell University teaching community members through confidential developmental consultations across the academic career span, roles, and disciplines. We offer graduate students a range of grants and awards to support the implementation of innovative and evidence-based teaching methods. In addition, we collaborate with departments and colleges in supporting other related teaching development initiatives.
Center for Technology Licensing (CTL)
The center works with Cornell researchers and innovators by bringing their inventions from the lab to the marketplace. Learn about our grants and gap funding to support your innovations and university spin-outs.
Cornell Advancing Science and Policy Club (ASAP)
ASAP is a student-run organization that connects graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and other members of the Cornell community with science policy on and off campus. We strive to provide opportunities to engage with decision making, meet other policy-interested scientists, communicate science, and learn about careers in science policy.
Cornell Athletics Ticketing
The Cornell Athletics Ticketing Office provides tickets to all ticketed athletics events on campus, as well as education regarding the opportunities to participate as a fan at various Cornell athletics events and activities.
Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability
Cornell Atkinson serves as the hub of collaborative sustainability research at Cornell University.
Cornell Career Services
Cornell Career Services (CCS) is part of Cornell’s Division of Student and Campus Life. We offer services in Barnes Hall open to all undergraduates plus many graduate students and alumni, as well as services distributed in each undergraduate college, to meet the diverse needs of the Cornell student population. Our staff members are eager to work with you throughout your time at Cornell to explore your interests, values, and strengths; expand your skills and gain experience; and connect you to a network of faculty, staff, alumni, peers, and professionals to access and navigate career opportunities for life.
Cornell Center for Social Sciences (CCSS)
Cornell social scientists conduct research to solve the world’s most pressing social challenges. CCSS accelerates, enhances, and amplifies this research by providing advanced computing and other research infrastructure, seeding grants and fellowships, supporting quantitative and qualitative research, and building a diverse and inclusive community of scholars.
Cornell Chorale
The chorale is a mixed voice (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) chorale ensemble open to undergrads, grad students, and community members. Our repertoire spans a wide variety of music, like for example traditional Taiwanese songs, classical European, or contemporary pieces.
Cornell Cinema
Cornell Cinema is Cornell’s celebrated on-campus film exhibition program, showcasing a dynamic mix of contemporary and classic films in the historic Willard Straight Theatre.
Cornell Data Services
Cornell Data Services is a collaborative, campus-wide organization that assists with creating and implementing data management and sharing plans, applying best practices for managing data, and finding data-related services at any stage of the research process.
Cornell Dining
Cornell Dining takes pride in providing our customers with a rich dining experience, and not just a meal. There’s always something new and different to choose from at our 29 campus eateries, which include dining rooms, cafes, coffee houses, and food courts, and convenience stores.
Cornell Health
Cornell Health provides medical care, mental health care, and support for all students studying on Cornell’s Ithaca campus. Select services are also available to spouses and partners of students.
Cornell Negotiation Student Society
The Cornell Negotiation Student Society is dedicated to empowering every Cornellian with negotiating confidence. If you’re looking to learn more about conflict resolution, build negotiation skills, connect with faculty, and earn recognition for your work, you’ve found a home with us.
Cornell Office of Civil Rights
The Cornell Office of Civil Rights (COCR) promotes and ensures equal opportunity and access to enable all members of the Cornell community to succeed and thrive. COCR addresses bias incidents, sexual and related misconduct, discrimination, and protected-status harassment through data collection and analysis, incident response and resolution, and training and education.
Cornell Outdoor Education
Cornell Outdoor Education develops teamwork, leadership, and growth through outdoor experience. We run more than 75 academic classes for PE credit, the Lindseth Climbing Center rock wall, outdoor gear rentals, student outdoor leadership programs such as Outdoor Odyssey, the Hoffman Challenge Ropes Course, and several classes open just to grad and professional students and adult community members (called “wellness courses”). Participants in our programs include professional, graduate, and undergraduate students, Cornell staff/faculty, and the wider Ithaca community. We also offer a plethora of employment opportunities for grad/professional students interested in the outdoors.
Cornell Recreational Services
Cornell Recreational Services (“Big Red Rec”) provides facilities, programs, and educational opportunities for the Cornell community to promote healthy lifestyles. Recreational Services entities include Cornell fitness centers, intramural sports, aquatics (pools), bowling, open recreation, and the Cornell University Wellness Program (faculty and staff only).
Cornell Statistical Consulting Unit
The Cornell Statistical Consulting Unit is a research support unit whose mission is to support Cornell faculty, staff, and students with study design, data analysis, and the use of statistics in their research.
The Cornell Store
The Cornell Store serves the Cornell community by providing products and services to support teaching, research, and outreach. We support multiple units of the university by collaborating to provide retail services at physical locations in Ithaca and online.

Cornell Transportation Services provides commuting options which include annual parking permits/short-term parking options, bike registration, transit access, and transit passes.

Cornell Votes is a university-wide, non-partisan organization that works to increase voter registration, turnout, and civic engagement on campus.

Energy and Sustainability Department
The Campus Sustainability Office empowers, equips, and engages our diverse partners to catalyze a sustainable campus transformation. English Language Support Office (ELSO)
A division of the Knight Institute for Writing in the Disciplines, the English Language Support Office (ELSO) offers a variety of programs to support multilingual U.S. resident and international graduate and professional students as scholars, writers, speakers, professionals, and members of the Cornell community.
Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
EHS supports the university by managing programs and procedures that promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible campus.
Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA)
The Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA) serves as an official voice for the graduate and professional students at Cornell.
Graduate School Office of Career and Professional Development
The Graduate School Office of Career and Professional Development works with research degree graduate students in all fields to explore the full range of career options within and beyond academia. We strive to empower students, strengthen skill development and professional preparation, demystify the job search process, and connect students to opportunities and resources useful to their interests.
Graduate School Office of Inclusion and Student Engagement (OISE)
The Graduate School Office of Inclusion and Student Engagement (OISE) leads initiatives that promote academic success, foster a sense of belonging, enhance student and faculty engagement, and support professional growth. OISE works collaboratively with many student organizations, including those represented on the Graduate and Professional Student Diversity Council.
Graduate School Records and Registration
The Graduate School Registrar’s Office assists students with records, enrollment, milestones, degree progression, and various forms and appeals.
Graduate Society of Women Engineers
Grad SWE at Cornell is dedicated to empowering women to achieve their full potential in their careers as students, engineers, and leaders while also helping to expand the image of the engineering profession and demonstrating the value of diversity. This organization is open to ALL Cornell graduate students.
Graduate Student Veterans Association
The Graduate Student Veterans Association functions as a unifying body for veterans who are engaged in the pursuit of advanced degrees at Cornell University. Its primary mission is to foster a sense of community and support on-campus graduate veterans academically, professionally, and socially.
Graduate Women in Science (GWiS)
The Graduate Women in Science (GWiS) of Cornell is an organization of graduate students and postdocs aimed at supporting gender diversity and inclusion in STEM. The goals of GWiS are: (1) to improve the lives of all individuals in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields at Cornell University by empowering women and gender minorities in our community and (2) to make the tools of science and scientific thinking available to everyone, irrespective of identity or background.

MAC Peer Mentoring Program
The MAC Mentoring Program is a graduate student-run initiative from the Graduate School Office of Inclusion and Student Engagement (OISE). Designed to address the needs of a diversity of doctoral students across all graduate fields through peer mentoring, this program focuses on helping new graduate students identify and form community at Cornell.
Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies
The Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies is Cornell’s hub for campus engagement and global thinking and action. The center organizes, stimulates, and supports research, teaching, and outreach programs and activities to enhance graduate and undergraduate education and to prepare Cornellians to contribute in the international sphere.
Music Department and Dallas Morse Coors Concert Series
The music department and Dallas Morse Coors Concert Series offer about 150 events each year, with student memberships available for purchase!
Office of the Bursar
The Office of the Bursar at Cornell University serves as the university’s primary hub for managing student-related financial matters, encompassing tuition, fees, and related expenses.
Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment
The Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment assists graduate students with loans, veteran funding, and student employment.
Office of Graduate Fellowships and Funding
The Graduate School funds a significant number of entering doctoral students with fellowships awarded through their graduate field, administered by the Office of Graduate Fellowships and Funding.
Office of Graduate Student Life
The Office of Student Life at the Graduate School is a source of support and advocacy for Cornell graduate and professional students and values continued personal development for future success, offering comprehensive student life programming that fosters the development of life skills.
Office of Off-Campus Living (OCL)
The Office of Off-Campus Living supports Cornell students, staff, and faculty in navigating housing beyond campus. We provide guidance on rental searches, lease education, tenant rights, and resolving housing challenges, as well as referrals to community resources. Our goal is to help students make informed decisions and feel confident in their off-campus living experience.
Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards
The OSCCS supports the holistic development of the student experience by educating students about behavioral expectations and enforcing the Student Code through a fair and educational process that fosters campus safety, accountability, and personal/organizational development.
Office of Student Health Benefits (Student Insurance)
The Office of Student Health Benefits assist students enrolling in Cornell’s Student Health Plan (SHP) or opting out of enrollment in SHP, if the student is eligible. We provide information on basic health insurance questions and promote health literacy for all Cornell students.
Ombuds Office
The Cornell University Ombuds is a confidential, independent, informal, and impartial resource available to all students, staff, and faculty at the university (except Weill Cornell Medicine) to address conflicts, concerns, or other issues affecting their work, life, or study at Cornell. We offer a safe place to identify options for addressing individual situations.
Protestant Cooperative Ministry at Cornell
Protestant Cooperative Ministry at Cornell is an open, affirming, progressive Christian chaplaincy serving graduate and undergraduate students. Through worship, serving others, and fellowship, we seek to grow in love for God, for one another, and for ourselves.
QGrads – Cornell LGBTQ+ Graduate Student Association
QGrads is a graduate student organization working to build a strong queer community at Cornell by creating spaces for graduate students of all sexual orientations and gender identities to feel seen, heard, and supported. We host two montly events, including social and professional opportunities, and share LGBTQ+ focused opertunities in our weekly email newsletter.

R5 Operations is the main campus department that oversees the Ithaca campus’s trash and recycling programs.
Roper Center for Public Opinion Research
The mission of the Roper Center is to collect, preserve, and disseminate public opinion data; to serve as a resource to help improve the practice of survey research; and to broaden the understanding of public opinion through the use of survey data in the United States and around the world.

Student Support and Advocacy Services
The Office of Student Support and Advocacy Services assists students in navigating difficult life events and crisis situations that impact their ability to be successful. We utilize a student-centered and individualized approach to support and empower students. The office serves as the central point of contact for students, families, and community members, and collaborates with campus partners to holistically support students.
Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit, Inc. (TCAT)
Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit, Inc. (TCAT) provides public transportation in Tompkins County with 25 routes covering campus, urban, and rural areas. Cornellians constitute our largest ridership and our aim is to introduce new students to our system as well as update returning students about any changes for the new academic year.

Tompkins County Public Library strives to meet and celebrate the aspirations of our community. We foster opportunities for people of all ages to discover, connect, and create throughout Tompkins County.
