Program Description
The M.Eng. (Aerospace Engineering) distance learning degree is a part-time program that can be completed in two to three years for those who wish to develop a higher level of competence in engineering science, current technology, and engineering design. The program is geared toward industrial professionals that wish to enhance their technical skills and accelerate advancement in the space industry. The program is designed to be flexible so that candidates may concentrate on one or a combination of focus areas. These focus areas include spacecraft engineering, engineered materials, dynamics and control, propulsion, robotics, and simulation and analysis.
The program’s flexibility allows students to build an individualized program of courses. Students are required to complete 30 credits of work at the graduate level. Each student’s curriculum includes a major design project along with a combination of technical courses. Students may also take one or two professional development courses to build complementary skills.
Design projects have an aerospace engineering design or application focus. The projects may arise from individual faculty and student interests or from collaboration with industry. All projects are done under the close supervision of a faculty member or industrial partner.

Tuition
The Bursar's office updates the tuition rate for M.Eng. degrees each academic year. M.Eng. degrees are considered Tier 1.
