Welcome! Your first step should be to visit our New Students website. This site contains a checklist of items to help you prepare to start your program at Cornell. You will soon receive an email from Cornell’s Computing and Information Technology service with instructions to activate your Cornell email account and network ID (NetID). Your NetID will allow you to access many online systems at Cornell.

I will be entering the United States on a student visa and have questions about the immigration process. Who should I contact?

Cornell’s International Services can help with all immigration issues and help with your adjustment to life at Cornell.

I wish to apply for housing and don’t have my NetID. What do I do?

Without a Cornell NetID: Please log in on the StarRez Portal using the username and password provided to you at the beginning of the housing application process. If you have forgotten your username please contact the Housing Office at housing@cornell.edu or 607-255-5368 (M-F 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST).

With a Cornell NetID: Use the NetID login page.
